Marina Nikolaeva was born in 1986 in Leningrad.
In 2005, she graduated from the Performance Faculty of the Vaganova Ballet Academy (teachers: I. A. Sitnikova, A. M. Stroghaya, A. S. Khamzin, A. A. Stepin).
Since the same year, she has been a member of the Mikhailovsky Theatre ballet company.
Over the years, she has performed solo, corps de ballet, and character roles in classical productions, and has also danced in ballets by Nacho Duato.
In 2010 and 2018, she participated in the Dance Open festival.
She has toured internationally with the Mikhailovsky Theatre and other ballet companies.
In 2016, she graduated from the Pedagogical Faculty of the Vaganova Academy (Bachelor’s degree with honors),
and in 2023 she earned a Master’s degree in Ballet Pedagogy.
Since 2022, she has been teaching folk-stage and historical-social dance at the Boris Eifman Dance Academy.
