Riccardo Riccardi is an esteemed Italian dancer and Maître de Ballet, whose artistic journey is closely connected with the prestigious Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg.
From 1985 to 2012, he performed with Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, sharing the stage with such legends as Carla Fracci, Vladimir Vasiliev, Ekaterina Maximova, Rudolf Nureyev, and Roland Petit.
A graduate of the Vaganova Academy (1994), Riccardi later served as Ballet Master at Teatro di San Carlo and I.A.L.S. in Rome. His teaching reflects the depth and precision of the Vaganova Method, to which he has dedicated much of his career.
Since the mid-1990s, he has pioneered teacher training programs based on this method, including the Master for Ballet Teachers on the Vaganova Method project with Danzainfiera, and launched the first online Vaganova course in 2022. His international teaching experience spans the USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, and Europe.
Riccardi has also contributed to several publications dedicated to ballet heritage, including works on Enrico Cecchetti and the Vaganova Method.
