You may have noticed that the girls on the posters for the upcoming Summer intensives are our former students. We are very proud of our students and want to tell you more about their ballet journey.
So, our cover girls will tell you a little about themselves.

  • “My name is Maria Mia Zatoka. I was born in Amsterdam, studied for one year at the Dutch National Ballet Academy, then continued my studies at the Vaganova Ballet Academy. After the first year of study, I attended the summer intensive “Russian Masters Ballet”. I was able to get a lot of work experience. Of course the most important thing is that there are professional teachers and besides that there is always a pleasant atmosphere. I really liked the intensive, so I returned there 3 more times. After graduating from the Vaganova Academy, I was accepted into the ballet company of the Bolshoi Theater”.
  • “I’m Elisabetta, I was born in Italy, and I started studying ballet when I was 5 years old. I studied for 5 years at the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, and thanks to the fantastic online workshop and the summer intensive in Alicante, with “Russian Master Ballet” I was accepted to the prestigious Vaganova Academy, where I studied for 3 years and graduated. Since this year I am a professional ballet dancer of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow”.
  • “My name is Candice Desilets. I’m from South Africa however lived a large portion of my life in Australia and various European countries. I first attended the Russian Master Ballet summer intensive in 2019 and later again in 2022. The intensive offers great professional knowledge and experience from their range of renowned teachers. From the RMB intensive I was accepted into the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy, where I’ve been studying since, currently in the class of Yulia Alexandrovna Kasenkova (a RMB teacher)”.
  • “My name is Maya Cristina Ciobota, and I am an 18-year-old student at the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I fell in love with ballet when I started dancing at age 4, and it quickly became a part of who I am. At 14, I attended a Russian Masters Ballet summer camp in Alicante. For three weeks, I was evaluated by their teachers, and at the end of the camp, I was accepted into the legendary Vaganova Academy. It was a life-changing moment. Leaving my family, friends, and home behind, I moved alone to Russia to pursue my dream and take my ballet training to a whole new level. I am very lucky to work with the best teachers and of course, to be in the class of the director of the academy, Nikolay Maksimovich Tsiskaridze. As I approach graduation, I look forward to becoming a ballet artist and continuing to inspire audiences with my dedication and love for this beautiful art”.
