RMB teaching faculty

Our teaching faculty is an incredible, unique, magical cast of highly professional masters. It is no exaggeration to say that most of them are already ballet legends. It is our goal to keep the level of our education for each of you to be able to get maximum knowledge with the possibility to learn “foot-to-foot” during each intensive course.

We welcome this year Victoria Omelnitskaya and Ivan Zaytsev who will be teaching during RMB summer intensives in Alicante and Burgas:

From the same year, Victoria has been in the Mariinsky Theatre company. From 2009 to 2016, Victoria was part of the Mikhailovsky Theater company and performed solo parts. Victoria Omelnitskaya got Masters degree as a teacher and got her postgraduate studies at the Vaganova Academy.
Since 2019, Victoria has been teaching at the Vaganova Academy such disciplines as "Ballet Heritage and Repertoire", "Methodology of Teaching Acting" and classical dance.
  • Ivan Zaytsev - principal dancer of the Mikhailovsky theatre and teacher of the Vaganova Academy. 
He started his career from Krasnodar Ballet School in 1997 and while studying he was training at the Yury Grigorovich Ballet Theatre. In 2002 Ivan graduated from Krasnodar Ballet School and entered the Department of Choreography at St. Petersburg State University for Culture and Arts. After graduation from the University in 2007, he joined Leonid Jacobson Ballet Theatre in St. Petersburg. After participation in the 11th Moscow International Ballet Competition in 2009, he was invited to join Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre.In 2018, he debuted as a choreographer in Moscow with the ballet "Daphnis and Chloe" to the music of Maurice Ravel. In 2019, the premiere of the ballet "Alexander Godunov" took place in St. Petersburg. In 2024 - the premiere of the ballet "Illumination" in Sakhalin. In 2023, he was invited to the Vaganova Academy to the Department of Classical and Duet-Classical Dance as a teacher.
