To become a principal dancer of the Dutch National Ballet, Anna Ol has come a long way, but it seems like she had a ballet fairy as a patron.
She got an appetite for the stage at the age of 5 and started her ballet training at 10. The ballerina still recalls her entering the ballet school as one of the brightest moments of her childhood. Then there were prizes at the competitions, rehearsals, new roles and new theatres: Krasnoyarsk, Kazan, St Petersburg, Moscow, Amsterdam. And an enormous load of work that all of these required.
Nevertheless, Anna is a dancer reminding us that ballet is no sport. A ballerina of impeccable technique, she proves that there is more to ballet than just work. Anna has a magnetic stage presence and a magical charisma: her interpretations of Nikiya and Cinderella make your heart skip a bit. We are proud to cooperate with the beautiful dancer and are sure that her attitude to ballet art needs to be learnt.
To develop herself and never to stop, Anna also became a certified teacher by Bolshoi.
