We are pleased to introduce you to the stars of the world ballet who will join us at our Stars Gala in Alicante next July 22nd.
Meet Yolanda Correa a Cuban ballet dancer known for her graceful and powerful performances.
She was born in Havana, Cuba, and began dancing at a very young age. At age 9, she entered the Cuban National Ballet and enjoyed a wonderful career performing in her home country.
But Yolanda seems to be a kind of dancer always looking for new challenges. After 10 years in the company, she made the amazing decision to march to Europe to learn and improve as a dancer. Set off in search of new adventures.
In 2010-2018, she was principal dancer of the National Ballet of Norway in Oslo, as of 2018 she has been principal dancer of the Berlin State Ballet. Now she dances again with the National Ballet of Norway in Oslo.
Yolanda Correa is known for her technical precision, lyrical quality and dramatic interpretation of roles. She has won numerous awards for her performances.
In 2012 she was named "Best Dancer Revelation." Today she is no longer a newcomer: she has been a guest artist from numerous companies around the world, receiving every praise imaginable from both the audience and criticism. The New York Times claims that it has both the aplom and the technique to carry out any virtuous role, and we will have the opportunity to check it out in Alicante.
