Most of the dancers from all around the world recognize this studio at first sight: this is THE PLACE. The birthplace of Russian ballet: in this very spot Marius Petipa was working on his great ballets for the Mariinsky Theatre.
It was in this studio that Agrippina Vaganova was coining her method and raising amazing ballerinas.
But history didn’t stop there. Today this is the renowned Marius Petipa studio at the Vaganova Ballet Academy. You can see a bust of the choreographer in the gallery and a portrait of Vaganova on the wall. They still make sure that one gets the best ballet education possible.
And YOU can be here with us. In this very studio, Russian Masters Ballet holds master classes and meetings with the star dancers and coaches, including Zhanna Ayupova, Artistic Director of the Vaganova Academy.
