audition combinations

What if audition combinations are too complicated for you?

The first and most basic rule isn’t to do what you don’t know. The combination can always be simplified. For example, if you don’t know how to do pirouette, for some reason, then in the combination of preparation and pirouette you do only preparation, etc.

If you don’t know some movement, then it’s better not to do it at all. No need to try. It won’t look professional. For the jury, it will be adequate. They will understand that the student knows and does not know, and this will affect their choice more positively.

Professionals sitting on the jury will see everything in any case. They are professionals. But for you is better to be smart.
